What strategies do you use to cope with negative feelings?
I use journaling more than anything to cope with negative feelings. I try to pause and shift my thinking at that moment negative thoughts arise, but it’s hard at times. When I’m being consistent with being mindful it’s much easier to get to a positive time.
Stop and breathe
If I can and I’m in a place I’m able to , I’ll stop close my eyes and practice breathing and counting til I feel my body and mind start to calm. Closing my eyes helps me concentrate on my breathing and not what is around me at the moment.
