Who was your most influential teacher? Why?

My kindergarten teacher and a couple of adults that were life teachers or help me along the journey of life.

Kindergarten teacher

She knew I would cry to go to school if there was a sub. Only if it was a male sub. Did she know why? No, she didn’t, she would say if you really feel sick when there is a sub remember we have a nurse here at school and you can go see her. That alone made me feel I had options. She would remind me that I had friends there and that my time there was valuable. She took the time, to acknowledge my feelings I think is what meant so much to me and made me feel safe even if she wasn’t there.

Life Teachers

I’ve had many adults try and guide me through my childhood. I’ve had a pretty rough/traumatic childhood and some adults tell me stay true to who you are. Stay strong minded, speak your mind but be respectful when doing it. Always, make time for self care, that I forgot how to do. As I got older I really make effort to try and do more self care. When you do things you love it’s such a game changer.

What are things you love doing? Me….

Crafting, reading, walking , talking with my bff , go to a coffee/tea shop and sit outside. Ride a bike along the boardwalk.

You?

Hope to hear some
